I have dark brown hair and am considering putting blue or purple streaks in my hair. I read on Wikihow.com about mixing 2 packets of Kool Aid w/ 2 quarter size amounts of conditioner and then leaving it in your hair for 12 hours (for dark hair). I am wondering how much the dye will show up (I don't want it too noticeable) and also how long it will last. Pictures would help!

I've heard it doesn't show up that much on darker hair. Even blonde girls I know who have done it just gave a tint.
If it doesn't work, try Manic Panic instead. You can control how long it lasts by how long you leave it in.

I've never dyed my hair with kool-aid, but, I assume that it's only going to last a week or two at the most, since it's not permanent.
