How do you bleach your hair safely?

I want to bleach my hair blonde but not the whole head. I have tried blonde highlights before but they didn't show up that good. I have dirty blonde hair but I want to make it blonder. It gets blonder in the summer but it takes awhile, but I want it blonde now. I will vote best answer =]

Ok... this might sound wierd but it works!!!

put lemon juice in your hair and lay out in the sun.... then get your hair wet..... reapply lemon juice..... lay out in sun...... and so on.....

look dont do it yourself. you need to have a professional hairstylist do it for you. that way they will know what strength to put on your hair to bring it to the lighter shade that you want. if you do it by yourself you could end up with orange hair and that will look awful. pay some extra money and get it done right. you dont want to damage your hair. DON'T USE LEMON JUICE IT WILL RUIN YOUR HAIR AND MAKE IT ORANGE.

Lemon juice will only lighten it a little If you want to notice it you can go to a salon and have them use bleach with a blue additive so that you notice your hilites more. A cap hilite is good if you want a little and is cheaper than a foil hilite

Why don't you do a blond VEIL....

that is where you take a large pie section out of the top of your hair......and then LIFT THAT UP.....

and clip off the underneath section....covering it with foil.....kitchen foil is fine....

OIL BLEACH is the only way to go...

The oil "protects" the hair while the bleach is working ....it is the best....

Separate the 'top' piece and then apply the bleach...

.....applying to the "ends" -%26gt; FIRST.... and the "roots" last....

Wella makes an Oil Bleach called Wellite you can purchase on line and most likely at your local beauty supply... follow the directions to the T.....

Be sure to "tone"..........when finished.....

k im a dirty blonde too, some one told me to try hydrogen peroxide and lay in the sun and it wont hurt your hair either, it worked for me

omg nikki! i think u should just use a normal dye thing, not bleaching since if u do that, your hair can fall out when youre older (i feel bad for jenna) u can probably buy a pack of the dye stuff or getting it done so it might work (i was thinking about the same thing, only my hair is a little darker then yours!)

well my mom wanted to get dark bloned high lights once and she showed she how to do it to. you know when you go in the shower and you dont want to get your hair wet? you put on those hats on that are make out of like um..... this paper that doesnt ruin when it gets wet. put that on use something sharp to poke medium holes in it, and then after you make the holes find out where the holes are and take the hair out of the holes then you will have the hat thingy on and some hair in all diffret places then just color it what color you want and wait for like 10 minuets and volia you have high lights!
