Hair dye help?

k i reciently(month ago) got my hair dyed its blonde with lots of dark brown and reddish streaks on top its pretty cool and i liked it but my hair grows pretty fast and my roots are starting to show i wan tto go back to being just blonde i dont want to go to the hair dresser i wanna do it at home what would happen if i just dyed it blonde like from the box? would it look dum because of the black or would it kinda just look the same only lighter?

This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.You are going to end up in a salon eventually.It will cost you much less to go there first as compared to going in the salon for a color correction.Trust the professionals!

just use a hair dye about 2-3 shades lighter than the colour before , it will be fine

im guessing that if you do it yourself the reddish streaks might turn a orangey colour cause that has happened to me before as for the black it depends if there is a lot of streaks and how big they are but im thinking that they will prolly go a greyish/brown colour unless you get a really good hair dye but it would prolly still be better to do it at the hair dressers

If your hair is too high maintenace to maintain then...you should use a clarifying shampoo and wash with warmer/hot water daily! to release the color faster....HOME DYE JOBS ARE ALMOST ALWAYS A NO NO!

Do you have a mixture of black, brown/reddish lowlights over the blond? OR is Half your hair black and the top half has alot of dimensional streaks? im alil confused about the black part? Either way for you too just put a box of color on your previous dye - THE RESULTS WILL BE UNEVEN!!! ONLY your roots will be the color on the box and the rest, especially the black brown/red may change into a BRASSY color [if they even change at all!!]
