i dyed my hair yesterday like red-ish and it didnt really show up THAT much, mostly it came out where my old highlights were. If i dye it the same color again will it show up more or stay the same?

it will stay the same. Either you already have too much color on your hair or you are choosing the wrong color for what you want.Color on top of color will only become more dull over time. Try a color gloss to brighten things up, or a semiperminent. These usually have the best results for reds. The red color molecule is the smallest, so it's difficult to get it to stay in the hair shaft. It fades quickly.Staining the hair with a semi is good and lasts as long as a perminent.Sometimes better because as you use perminent colors over again you are damaging the hairshaft causing it to remain open...losing more red.

You may just want to pick a darker red or go and pick a different color!

It really depends if you have dark hair and how dark the red dye is compared to your hair colour before the dye went in. Dark hair like brunnettes tend not to amplify light colours much. Go to the salon and ask what you would like they may suggest something that works x

you might have to get your hair lightened first for it to stand out more as it has shown better in your highlights so get it done professionally cos if you lighten dark hair with normal hair dye from shop it goes orange believe me been there done that so be careful x

wash the dye out and go natural

You have to wait at least 3 to 4 weeks before you doit again if not you may damage your hair if you doit to soon. Put a good conditioner before trying again.I sugest trying doing red tips instead. Good Luck
