How do you get the hair colour you want?

I have naturally black hair,

But how do I get rich brown hair color like this?

I've tried getting my hair brown multiple times but it either doesn't show, or it turns out maroon/red (which is a color that I'm not looking for).

If you have any colour/names of brown dyes, I would be greatful.

If you still had natural hair, I could give you advice, but because you've already colored it, you'll need to see a professional.

Some helpful info:

Once you have colored your hair, artificial pigment is present, meaning you can not make your hair any lighter without using bleach.

Dark hair will always look more red when going lighter than a box will suggest. If you did have your natural black hair, you would have needed a blue-green based high lift color.

If your hair is really dark store brand hair colors will not do the trick as you have found out. .

It needs to be pre -lightened then the desired color put on.

I would suggest going to a cosmetologists due to the fact that this is a complicated procedure.
