Hair colouring help !?

A week ago I dyed my hair back to black (my natural color). Now I want to dye my entire hair a dark brown.

How am I going to do this? I'm just worried that the color wont show up and all... and i dont want to go to a hairstylist cuz the ones here SUCK.

I'm not worried about frying or having my hair fall out. i've been dying my hair every almost every month now and its still healthier and softer than most people who've never even dyed their hair before.

My professional opinion, and depending what you use, the color will not show up. If you get a grocery store color box, it might change the color, but it wont look like what you want. Black is a very cool-toned color, and you are going to have a rough time turning it into a rich, dark brown.

You could bleach it to lighten it up. One technique I've learned is called a shampoo cap. You mix some bleach, shampoo, and water, and rinse it through your hair, like youre shampooing it. It wont be an even beautiful color when youre done. It will probably be blotchy, but since you are going to cover it with a dark brown, it should be fine.

I'm glad to hear that your hair is doing awesome even when you dye it. Try bleaching your hair before you dye it brown it will help a lot.

the best bet is to bleach it to get rid of the black color and then dye it the brown you want..

i wouldnt do it b/c most likely it wont et any color in it.

its hard to dye your hair any color once you dye it black but its your decision wether you want to or not
